REVIEW: Ciel Phantomhive "Faustian Contract" Lense

Hello my dears~

My my, it has certainly been ages since I posted anything (interesting) on here ;A; I apologise for my absence as of late as I've been pretty occupied from all the school work I've been receiving as well as my part time job at Myer! So I recently bought some new lenses at my all time FAVOURITE contact lense provider mukuCHU who are sadly closing down due to unforeseen circumstances. I've been a long time customer at their store now (ever since I fell into the cosplay scene), so when I saw that they had Ciel's contract lense I had to get my hands on it.

I've had a couple of requests from subscribers/ watchers to talk about where I buy my lenses from, so I thought why not start off with a contact lense review!

>>> Let's go~

~*~*~*~* CIEL COSPLAY LVL UP!!! *~*~*~*~

Image 1: Taken in artificial indoor lighting. No lighting was edited in this photo, therefore the colour of the lense is shown true to it's description and opacity. The blue lense I am wearing here is from the Max Series in 'Pure Blue'

Image 2: Photo taken in natural lighting inside the house and
NOT near a window. Closer look of the Faustian Contract.
Image 3: The packaging in which the lenses arrived in.
Photo also taken in natural lightning.

Lense Name: Ciel (from EOS range)
Diameter: 14.2mm
Water Content: 38%
Usage: 1 year

Price & Packaging - 5/5
The lenses came package securely in bubble wrap to prevent damage and in separate lense bottles as per usual and arrived safe and soundly. Shipping took about a week for me since I am based in Australia as well with the price at $20.00 (AUD) a pair which is super affordable in comparison to other sellers.

Comfort - 4/5
Comfort wise for this lense really surprised me as in my experience with these smaller EOS lenses, it
usually takes a while for them to settle in completely. They're quite comfortable to wear, although I found that it began to dry out a little faster (around the 2 hour mark) as the water content is low - nothing some eyedrops can't solve though! I also found that after the removal of them, my eyes weren't pink/ red like they are usually so that's definitely a plus in my books. As for the pentagram design on the lense, this proves to be no distraction at all as I could see very clearly like normal.

Colour/ Opacity - 5/5
The colour of these lenses is absolutely stunning! At first I was a tad sceptical as I wasn't sure how the lenses would perform on my dark brown, nearly black (asian) eyes but as you can see in the images, the contract showed up amazingly well. Photo 3 was taken in natural lighting - not even in front of a window with the contact staying very true to it's description and opaque colour. In contrast, Photo 1 was taken under artificial indoor lighting, but the colour still shines an eerie lilac colour.

Enlargement - 1/5
As these lenses are 14.2mm in diameter, they quite obviously do extremely little to enlarge if not at all. This is quite fine by me however, seeing as I only use a 14.5mm blue lense for Ciel anyway. However if you use a large diameter lense for Ciel then it might become a slight case of alternate sized eyes... Also if you are looking for enlargement, this lense is definitely not for you.

Overall Summary - 5/5
If you are a Ciel Phantomhive cosplayer, then these lenses are a must have! Not only do they live up to their description as a brilliantly opaque lense, the Faustian Contract will add that extra eerie and mysterious effect to your eyes. Seriously guys, I've had them for about a day and I'm already in love! Definitely recommended to lvl up a Ciel cosplay and add that extra little something~
