Upcoming Tutorials!

Good afternoon everyone!

I hope you are doing well~ What do you think of the new revamp on my blog? :D I decided to change a few things up again and went with a more Victorian-esque/ Retro and 'professional' design this time round - also showing off some of my attempted photography!

Recently I haven't had as much time (as I would like) to cosplay, since school now occupies pretty much 99.99% of my time! However, I have been keeping up with most of my social networking and online sites...just haven't really posted anything new of the sort. Exams are quickly closing in and teachers are drowning us in homework, but nevertheless here are some of the WIP and future cosplays that I have partially worked on for the past couple of months of which include mostly MAKEUP trials:

Upcoming Vids/ Possible Tutorials:

I've been thinking a lot about the videos I make recently in regards to my YouTube Channel and want to start incorporating other videos such as "How To Make" and "Basic Skills" segments where I just focus on particular aspects of the cosplay scene. It's an idea, but I would love to know your thoughts on this so please let me know~
***Also in terms of requests, currently I am not really taking any since I've already accumulated quite the list from the last year or two xD But by all means request through comments or even PMs if you want to as I will consider all suggestions!

Kaguya Kimimaro from "Naruto"
As many of you may know, I am a HUGE Narutard
and with the recent events of the latest manga chapters
an epiphany told me that it was about time I filmed
YET another, Naruto character look. And since I've had
Kimimaro on my list for quite some time now, I decided on him!

Simple SFX Gashes/ Gackt from GHOST (PV)
Yet another tutorial that I've had on my list of future ones for a while now,
but since I do not, nor will I ever resemble Gackt's beautiful form
I've kept this one a bit of a secret ;)

  • Generic "Bishounen" Cosplay Makeup
  • A new 2 in ONE styled tutorial (Two looks in one video)
  • More SFX
  • Less frequent uploads (as exams are looming!

Recent WIPs and Cosplans:

Daenerys Stormborn (Targaryen) from "Game of Thrones"
YES. I do understand that I do NOT resemble Emilia Clarke
in any way, fashion, shape or form but I absolutely had to do a trial
for this wonderful character after being captivated by her in Season 1!
I might make a tutorial out of it maybe, and possibly cosplay her someday...
but for the time being I'm pretty content with this makeup trial :)

Lance Corporal Rivaille (Levi) from "Shingeki no Kyojin"
AKA. Attack on Titan.
I too have been swept into this fandom as some of you might
know (I've been spamming my Tumblr with it for a while now
an decided to do a makeup trial for chibi Lance Corporal! It's quite
funny that I'm the same height as him! :D Bonus for cosplay? Originally
I actually lost quite a bit of motivation to cosplay him since many of my idols
(eg. Reika, GreenMakakas) also decided upon him however, each person can represent
a character differently so I picked up the motivation again! (That and also because
I want 3D Maneuver Gear xD)

Colossal Titan from "Shingeki no Kyojin"
You are in fact seeing right.
For those of you who watch and follow me on DeviantART as well as Tumblr, you
may or may not have noticed the photos I've posted of this particular WIP. Relating to the photo above,
I could not decide which character I wanted to cosplay from this series as all are so admirable and in general, I couldn't
find one that I could identify with. Hence, 1 bottle of red face paint, 5 hours and a lot of blood, pain and tears later...
- BAM. Colossal Titan. I actually hope to get a morph suit by the end of this year to cosplay him, so look forward until then!
More Photos of Colossal Titan!

ANYWAY! Until next time my dears, look forward to more new work coming soon seeing as my holidays are a little less than a month away now!

REVIEW: Ciel Phantomhive "Faustian Contract" Lense

Hello my dears~

My my, it has certainly been ages since I posted anything (interesting) on here ;A; I apologise for my absence as of late as I've been pretty occupied from all the school work I've been receiving as well as my part time job at Myer! So I recently bought some new lenses at my all time FAVOURITE contact lense provider mukuCHU who are sadly closing down due to unforeseen circumstances. I've been a long time customer at their store now (ever since I fell into the cosplay scene), so when I saw that they had Ciel's contract lense I had to get my hands on it.

I've had a couple of requests from subscribers/ watchers to talk about where I buy my lenses from, so I thought why not start off with a contact lense review!

>>> Let's go~

~*~*~*~* CIEL COSPLAY LVL UP!!! *~*~*~*~

Image 1: Taken in artificial indoor lighting. No lighting was edited in this photo, therefore the colour of the lense is shown true to it's description and opacity. The blue lense I am wearing here is from the Max Series in 'Pure Blue'

Image 2: Photo taken in natural lighting inside the house and
NOT near a window. Closer look of the Faustian Contract.
Image 3: The packaging in which the lenses arrived in.
Photo also taken in natural lightning.

Lense Name: Ciel (from EOS range)
Diameter: 14.2mm
Water Content: 38%
Usage: 1 year

Price & Packaging - 5/5
The lenses came package securely in bubble wrap to prevent damage and in separate lense bottles as per usual and arrived safe and soundly. Shipping took about a week for me since I am based in Australia as well with the price at $20.00 (AUD) a pair which is super affordable in comparison to other sellers.

Comfort - 4/5
Comfort wise for this lense really surprised me as in my experience with these smaller EOS lenses, it
usually takes a while for them to settle in completely. They're quite comfortable to wear, although I found that it began to dry out a little faster (around the 2 hour mark) as the water content is low - nothing some eyedrops can't solve though! I also found that after the removal of them, my eyes weren't pink/ red like they are usually so that's definitely a plus in my books. As for the pentagram design on the lense, this proves to be no distraction at all as I could see very clearly like normal.

Colour/ Opacity - 5/5
The colour of these lenses is absolutely stunning! At first I was a tad sceptical as I wasn't sure how the lenses would perform on my dark brown, nearly black (asian) eyes but as you can see in the images, the contract showed up amazingly well. Photo 3 was taken in natural lighting - not even in front of a window with the contact staying very true to it's description and opaque colour. In contrast, Photo 1 was taken under artificial indoor lighting, but the colour still shines an eerie lilac colour.

Enlargement - 1/5
As these lenses are 14.2mm in diameter, they quite obviously do extremely little to enlarge if not at all. This is quite fine by me however, seeing as I only use a 14.5mm blue lense for Ciel anyway. However if you use a large diameter lense for Ciel then it might become a slight case of alternate sized eyes... Also if you are looking for enlargement, this lense is definitely not for you.

Overall Summary - 5/5
If you are a Ciel Phantomhive cosplayer, then these lenses are a must have! Not only do they live up to their description as a brilliantly opaque lense, the Faustian Contract will add that extra eerie and mysterious effect to your eyes. Seriously guys, I've had them for about a day and I'm already in love! Definitely recommended to lvl up a Ciel cosplay and add that extra little something~
